Address & Mortality Results

When your client has completed their check, the Address & Mortality tab will appear as one of two colours:

  • Green indicates that the Address & Mortality check has passed
  • Orange indicates that the Address & Mortality check needs manual review

If the Address & Mortality tab still presents as blue, your client has not yet completed their check. If the Address & Mortality  tab is red, this means that one of your colleagues has already manually reviewed the check, and failed it.

To view the Address & Mortality check, or manually update the status of the check, please click the view/review button at the bottom of the tab.

If the Address & Mortality has passed, you will be presented with a list of Credit Database, UK Mortality and Electoral Register sources that have matched with the name, DOB and address your client has given, as can be seen below.

If you are unsure what to write in the comment section, please speak to your manager. This note will appear within the portal and also on the PDF.

You also need to tick the 'I confirm that this data is correct' to continue.

What do I do next?

If the Address & Mortality Check has referred you are able to manually re-run the Address & Mortality Check without sending anything to your client. To do this,

1. Click the 'Settings' Tab within the Address & Mortality tab

2. Click 'Run a new check'

3. Pick an Address & Mortality profile, this is the pass parameters, we suggest using the default option

4. Enter your clients details, and re-run the check

5. The new results will now appear, and you can find the previous check in the archive section in case you need to refer back to this at any point.

Alternatively, if you do not wish to run another check, or you wish to pass a referred check, you will need to do your own due diligence to confirm your clients Address & Mortality. You can add extra documents to your clients profile as evidence which will appear on the PDF. To do this please add evidence via the 'Quick Actions Menu' below.

What constitutes an Address & Mortality pass?

As a default we set up the Address & Mortality to pass the Address & Mortality check the person (name and DOB) has to be found at the address (on both the electoral roll and credit database), cannot be flagged as deceased or someone who moved out (change of the address). However we have different profiles we can set depending on how strict you wish to make the check. If you want to find out more about these, please contact support.
