Datachecks overview | API

Datachecks are electronic checks performed by Credas either as part of a journey or as a standalone check via the API / portal.

Datacheck services

 The following services can be performed as a standalone datacheck or as part of a journey:

• International Screening (including PEPs/Sanctions)
• Land registry (including Proof of ownership)
• Address, Mortality & DOB
• Bank account verification
• CAPP (Credas Anti-Money-Laundering Protection Pack)

As part of a Journey

Our out-of-the-box 'Identity | Address | International Screening' journey performs both an international screening and address & mortality datacheck using information captured from the end user. 

These checks combined with our ID document verification & liveness checks provide an effective onboarding solution. 

Standalone datachecks

You may wish to perform data checks where you already hold accurate information on your customer. An example of this may be a reverification of their details prior to a probate pay out. 

You can perform a bank account check to verify the payout details provided are accurate, an address & mortality check to confirm the payee resides at the address provided and lastly an international screening check to confirm you are not paying out to a sanctioned or politically exposed individual.
