Know Your Business (KYB) Updates
Company Search
The default ‘Location’ has been set to United Kingdom when searching for a new company. Users can change this if the search is related to any other country.
Where available the company ‘Type’ will now be visible on the initial search results to allow the user to better identify the correct company they wish to add.
Company Profile
We have added in terminology around Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) to the Person(s) of Significant Control section as they are more commonly referred to as UBO’s internationally.
PDF Export
Addition of Financials / Sanctions / Charges / Event History pages into the PDF export.
We have made formatting improvements to multiple pages of the PDF export.
Associated Individuals DOB
For any individuals returned within the company data such as Directors or Secretaries the date of birth for these individuals will now show in a Month Year format. Eg Mar 1970.
Previously where we were using a full date of birth format - due to the data we received this was often defaulted to the first day of the month which may have been misleading to some users.
Additional Countries to search
We have now added additional countries that can be searched, we will be increasing this to the full list of countries supported by our data provider after further testing this week.
Ongoing monitoring
We have made an improvement to our ongoing monitoring solution to monitor alternative date fields provided by our data provider for updates. This is part of an ongoing project improving our ongoing monitoring solution and how it functions.
Bug Fixes
Sanctions and PEPs data
We have rectified an issue where certain items of data being retrieved from our data provider were too large for us to store causing an error with running the check. We have increased the database field sizes to accommodate these edge cases.
Sanctions and PEPs
We have rectified an issue with the S&P erroring for certain individuals due to the volume of results, then re-attempting the call to run the check continuously.
NFC timeout
We have encountered an issue with users switching to the native app to complete an NFC step some time after completing the rest of the process on the web app. This was due to a timeout issue – the previous timeout was set at 60 minutes this has now been increased to 48 hours so should avoid this issue occurring.
